- Check with your department concerning deadlines.
- Complete the GRADUATE DEGREE APPLICATION
- Pay the nonrefundable application fee:
- U.S Citizen: $70 (effective May 1, 2009)
- Non-U.S. Citizen: $90 (effective May 1, 2009
- In addition to the normal application fee, a $50 non-refundable late processing fee will be charged for ALL applications submitted on or after the dates indicated below:

Note: Once the late processing fee period begins, applications will not be processed until all fees have been paid. Both the application fee and the late processing fee are non-refundable.
Note for Full-time ASU Employees: The employee will be responsible for any applicable late processing fees.
- Fees may be paid on the application by credit card or applicant may send a money order or check.
Note: Checks drawn on international banks must identify a corresponding U.S. bank on the check and have bank routing numbers imprinted across the bottom of the draft. International money orders cannot be accepted.
Note: All Checks and money orders must include student's full name as it appears on the Graduate Application, Date of Birth, and Application ID number.
- One set of OFFICIAL transcripts from every post-secondary institution you have attended should be sent to:

When you submit your online application, you will be issued an Application Identification (ID) Number. Please ensure that all documents submitted to the Graduate College include your Application ID Number in the upper left corner of the envelope and documents. Materials submitted without your Application ID Number will delay the processing of your application.
Note: ASU transcripts do not need to be sent.
- Check with your academic unit for possible supplemental materials.
- All documents submitted as part of the Graduate Application become the property of ASU and will not be returned to the applicant.
- Application Status
After your application has been received, you will receive an email acknowledgement that includes your ASURITE UserID and Activation Code. Once you activate your ASURITE account, you may monitor the progress of your application at http://my.asu.edu. If you have already activated your ASURITE account, and cannot log in, please contact computer accounts by calling (480) 965-1211 or by emailing computer.accounts@asu.edu.
The Graduate College notifies all applicants of the admission decision. The Graduate College cannot guarantee a response on or before a specific date.
Although your degree program office may contact you during the review of your application, only the Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate College can make a formal offer of admission.
