bachelor’s degree

You must have earned a U.S. bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution or the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from an international institution that is officially recognized by that country.

nondegree requirements

Nondegree applicants do not have to send transcripts or supportive documents to be admitted.

You must submit your application at least one week prior to the first day of classes.

nondegree limitations and restrictions

There is no limit to the total cumulative credits hours you can take as a nondegree student. However, if you wish to use the credits towards an ASU master’s or doctoral degree, you will be limited to nine credit hours taken prior to admission to a master’s degree and twelve credit hours prior to admission to a doctoral degree.

Nondegree study may be restricted by certain academic units. Contact the degree program for restriction information.

Financial aid is not available to nondegree students.

Note: Nondegree study is generally not available to international students on F1 and J1 visas. For exceptions, prior to applying you must obtain written approval from your Designated School Official granting permission for you to take classes.
