Fellowship Disbursement Process
- The stipend for this fellowship will be disbursed by the Graduate College through the University Financial Aid System in two equal payments at the beginning of each semester.
- Disbursement checks will be sent to the mailing address in the ASU system. You may also sign up for direct deposit via "My ASU."
- The tuition award amount will appear in the Financials section of "My ASU." The Dissertation fellowship includes a tuition award for the amount of resident tuition only, even if the fellow is a non-resident.
- You will need to be enrolled for fall and spring semesters in a minimum of nine (9) graduate-level credit hours during the time covered by this fellowship.
- All fellowship recipients must review the Fellowship Guidelines/Tax Considerations at http://graduate.asu.edu/noncompsupport.html for important information on filing annual tax information.
Student Health Insurance
- You must register for ASU student health insurance through "My ASU" no later than the first week of fall semester. Renewal for the following spring semester is automatic.
- If you have your own insurance, you are not required to enroll in the ASU student health insurance plan; however, this award only funds ASU student health insurance.
- If you have applied for and/or received financial aid, acceptance of this fellowship may decrease your financial aid funding eligibility, such as student loans. If you have questions concerning this, contact the ASU Student Financial Aid Office in the Student Services building at (480) 965-3355 or e-mail financialaid@asu.edu
- International students who receive Graduate College fellowships do not need to register for student health insurance, as they are automatically enrolled per their visa requirements.
