graduate horizons is a 72 hour "crash course" for Native American college students, master's students, and college graduates in preparing for graduate school (master's, Ph.D. or professional school).

Instituto Tecnologico de Sonora (ITSON) is an educational community committed to social development, with more than 17,000 students distributed in its four campus units in Mexico. ITSON offers 23 Bachelor Degrees, 8 Master and 3 Doctoral Programs of Engineering & Technology, Humanities, Administrative and Economics and Natural Resources Areas. ITSON initiated a visit to ASU during GPSA week for a mutual exchange of educational opportunities. national name exchange (NNE) is a consortium of fifty-five nationally-known universities which annually collect and exchange the names of their talented but underrepresented ethnic minority students who are in their sophomore, junior or senior year of their undergraduate education.

Project 1000 is a national program which assists underrepresented science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) students with the graduate school application process. Students may apply to up to seven of the over 80 participating Project 1000 institutions by using one application (some institutions may have additional requirements). Special features of Project 1000 include an easy-to-use electronic application, personal attention from an academic advisor to assist students throughout the application process and free-of-charge program participation for students and institutions. society for advancement of chicanos and native americans (SACNAS) is a society of scientists dedicated to fostering the success of Hispanic/Chicano and Native American scientists to attain advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership.

the national consortium for graduate degrees for minorities in engineering and science (GEM) provide graduate fellowships in engineering and science to highly qualified individuals from communities where human capital is virtually untapped.
