Michael PerryPhD in Literature student Michael Perry has accepted a tenure-track position at Rockford College in Rockford, IL. Michael is particularly excited that this position is "exactly what [he] has always wanted--a small, four-year liberal arts school in the Midwest and within driving distance of his family and in-laws."

Michael adds that "being so close to Chicago is certainly a bonus (both for baseball games and great blues music)." This fall, Michael will be teaching a seminar centered around blues music and African American literature, the subject of his recently-defended doctoral dissertation.

CONGRATULATIONS, Michael!
