Graduate and Professional Students Association (GPSA) has announced a new grant program for graduate students that can provide up to $2,000 in reimbursement funding from its new Green Projects Initiative (GPI). The program is designed to support projects that can immediately reduce ASU's impact on the local environment.
Proposals to the GPI Committee must be sponsored by graduate students on the Tempe campus, but projects may include undergraduate students as well. Any ASU student, graduate or undergraduate, may volunteer time or money to support a GPI approved project.
"We hope this program will solve some environmental problems on campus by bringing together small groups of grads and undergrads who each can contribute something unique, such as logistical expertise, sweat equity, or even a microloan," said Michael Rutkowski, chair of the GPI and a grad student in extragalactic astronomy.
