Information Fair

Each year, early in the spring semester, the Preparing Future Faculty program hosts an Information Fair for students who are interested in learning more about the program.  Refreshments are served and interested students can speak with current PFF students about their experience.  There is also a short program that provides some information about the program and how to apply.

Please join us on Tuesday, February 19th from 11:30am – 1:00pm in the Large Tent on the Student Services Lawn (relocated from MU Ventana A&B) if you are interested in learning more about the PFF program and for more details about the application process.  We will be serving a light lunch.  Please RSVP if you will be attending by calling (480) 965-4102 or by emailing grad-RSVP@asu.edu.

  Fall Reception

Each year the Preparing Future Faculty program kicks off the year with the Fall Reception.  All PFF students, their advisors and many other faculty, staff, and administrators who help make the PFF program successful attend the reception.  The Fall Reception is also an opportunity for the students to meet their classmates and socialize in a setting outside of the classroom.  There is usually a short program, consisting of a welcome, a keynote address, and recognition of those who received the Faculty Emeriti Association Fellowship.

  Capstone Fair and Graduation Reception

The Capstone Fair and Graduation Reception mark the end of the year.  The Capstone Fair affords the Participatory Phase (Second Year) students an opportunity to display and share with the ASU community what they have learned and experienced through their participation in the Preparing Future Faculty program.  Each of the Participatory Phase (Second Year) students prepare a “poster” and share their experience with those who pass through.  The Graduation Reception follows the Capstone Fair and honors all students, both Exploratory Phase (First Year) and Participatory Phase (Second Year), and recognizes them for their achievement.  The 2008 Capstone Fair and Graduation Reception will be held on April 25, 2008 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm in the large tent on the Student Services lawn. (relocated from MU Ventana B&C.)
