Contact
Pat Saldivar (psaldivar@asu.edu), 965-5906, Office of Associate Vice Provost Andrew Webber, Graduate College
Award
$400 (maximum)
Eligibility
All units may apply in advance for funding. Only one proposal may be submitted per academic unit. Funding may be used:
- To bring doctoral/MFA students to campus for a recruitment visit;
- To recruit outstanding master's degree students the unit seeks to later admit to a doctoral program; and
- To recruit excellent students who are underrepresented in their fields (master's or doctoral).
Application Process
Academic units should submit a proposal electronically to
Pat Saldivar at
psaldivar@asu.edu. Late proposals are unlikely to receive support. Describe:
- The number of Recruitment Airfare Awards or dollar amount you are requesting.
- Your recruitment plan specifying how you will identify and proactively recruit top students.
- Your plans for the recruitment visits.
- How this award will help strengthen the excellence and diversity of your graduate student population.
Proposals will be evaluated consistent with the above criteria. In addition, for those units that have previously received Recruitment Airfare Awards, we will consider the number of airfare awards requested and used by your unit in the past three years and your success rate in enrolling those students.
