SAS can help with everything related to your graduate academic needs while you are a student at ASU. If you need assistance with GC policies and procedures, please ask us. We encourage you to visit our team in the Interdisciplinary Building, B-wing, Suite 170 for help navigating the process to complete your degree and graduate.

Services
  • Processing graduate Programs of Study, including petitions, comprehensive exam results, foreign language exam results, candidacy letters, committee approvals, dissertation chair approvals, and committee changes
  • Meeting with graduate students for format review of their theses/dissertations and to schedule their oral defense
  • Format Advising: Reviewing theses and dissertations for format, presenting the "Thesis/Dissertation & Graduation Workshop" in the spring and fall semesters
  • Preparing/delivering defense paperwork to committees and departments and announcing dissertation oral defenses in Insight
  • Working closely with the Office of University Ceremonies to coordinate the commencement ceremonies for graduate students
  • Answering questions for students, faculty, and staff about Graduate College policies and procedures
