    Join our new faculty book club. We will be reading the book Making Time, Making Change: Avoiding Overload in College Teaching (2003) by Douglas Reimondo Robertson and meeting twice this semester to reflect on its implications for practice in the academic setting. This is a great opportunity to meet other faculty and engage in important discussions about managing teaching responsibilities in academia.   • Time Management

    The lack of time may be the single most expressed problem among faculty members in academia. This workshop is designed to assist members of the teaching corps to learn to use time management skills to make choices about how they use their time and avoid overload. Having more time to reflect on teaching and learning can have a direct impact on the student experience and the learning outcomes in courses taught.

    This workshop is designed to help both mentors and mentees develop strategies and guidelines for effective communication, learning outcomes, retention, articulation through graduate programs, and best practices of the mentoring relationship. Strategies are also given for virtual mentoring and mentoring resources.
