Students must sign up for health insurance each semester when registering
for classes. Enrollment for coverage is by semester not the entire academic year.
Deadlines: Open enrollment deadline for the Spring 2008 semester ends
January 28, 2008; any student who has not enrolled by the deadline will lose the benefit for the spring semester.
Insurance Coverage
- ASU Student Health Insurance Plan.
- Single coverage only. (Additional coverage may be purchased as an out-of-pocket expense to the student. Students desiring family coverage must purchase it at the ASU Student Health Center.)
- This is NOT a cash award.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a teaching or research assistant or associate at a minimum
of .50 FTE.
- Must be registered for a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester.
NOTE: Audit hours do NOT count toward the minimum of 6 credit hours.
- Students must meet the minimum requirements for both the fall and spring semesters.
How Do I Enroll?
- Go to http://www.asu.edu/interactive
- Click on "Tuition and Billing"
- Then click on "Student Health Insurance"
- You will be prompted to log on.
- On your Student Center page under Academics or Finances, click on Student Health Insurance, click on the option to purchase insurance.
Additional Information
International students are required to have ASU student health insurance. The university is no longer accepting outside carriers for meeting the insurance requirement for international students.
