maximum $350

Eligibility

Applicants must be regularly admitted graduate students who are in good standing with their academic unit and the Graduate College (GC). Under very unusual circumstances and upon prior approval, mileage will be reimbursed. No taxis or other local transportation will be reimbursed from these funds.

Application Process

Approval is a two-step process. Applications are submitted initially to the student's academic unit for evaluation and prioritization in accordance with the unit's established criteria. They are then forwarded to the GC for consideration. Because of limited funding, only the top two applications will be funded from each unit.

Applicants must present evidence of matching funds from university sources other than the GC (e.g., academic unit, Graduate and Professional Student Association).

    • Complete and sign the application form PDF DocumentMS Word Document. Funds from university sources other than the GC must be shown.
    • Complete the Travel Authorization form found at travel2.asu.edu. Be sure to state how ASU will benefit from your participation (Purpose/Justification) and to sign and date the form.
    • Submit your application to your academic unit for their prioritization and signature. Department chair/director or other person authorized to release departmental travel funds must sign the form. The academic unit forwards the top three applications to the GC by the deadlines listed above. Please do not attach any additional information to the travel grant application or travel authorization form.
Note: Applications without all signatures, those with missing information, and those missing the original signed Travel Grant application will not be reviewed. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Decisions will be emailed to applicants approximately one week after the application deadline. If you have a change of address, please inform us as soon as possible.
