Designing Your Teaching Portfolio (Brown Bag)

 
Learn what to include in your teaching portfolio, how to structure those documents, and what hiring committees expect from your portfolio. Duan Roen, Dean and Professor, ASU will discuss expectations for your teaching portfolio, provide you with quality examples, and offer formative feedback on yours – so bring a copy of your teaching portfolio with you to workshop the materials with your peers during the event.

Graduate College Professional Etiquette Dinner

There are many pressures when interviewing for a coveted position, whether inside or outside of the academy.  Knowing how to behave and converse over a formal dinner, business lunch, or reception should not be one of them.
 
During this four-course dinner, ASU etiquette expert Melissa Wernerhttps://isearch.asu.edu/profile/93027 will offer tips on navigating professional-social situations that are often a part of interviewing processes and likely will be an integral part of your future career.
 
You’ll also receive an attendance gift, The Little Book of Etiquette, to help you remember what you learned in the course of the evening. 
This event is open to currently enrolled ASU doctoral and MFA students and ASU postdocs. Hurry, it fills up quickly!
