July Grad15 sessions examine career development and research impact

With the summer quickly winding down, graduate students approaching the completion of their programs are beginning to prepare for their professional future filled with resumes, interviews and jobs.

Throughout June, the Graduate College’s weekly Grad15 mini-webinars focused on skills current graduate students need for their future careers: building business models, building graduate alumni networks with the Career Navigators program, and building a professional identity through digital portfolios and LinkedIn.

For July, we’re looking ahead. Join us after the holiday break as we explore Graduate College programs geared toward helping graduate students take that final step from student to professional.

  •  July 21, 11 a.m. — Amplify your research: The Knowledge Mobilization Initiative

    The Graduate College supports students and postdoctoral scholars conducting socially-engaged and use-forward research that impacts current practice, informs policy change, and promotes collaboration with industry and/or communities. Join us for tips on mobilizing and creatively disseminating your own research ideas, and learn more about funding and training opportunities available through the KM Initiative.
  •  July 28, 11 a.m. —  Get Connected:  Use the Career Navigators program to learn from Alumni

    Learn about a new opportunity to connect with graduate alumni who can help you craft your post-graduation career plan. Join Amanda Athey and Zachary Reeves-Blurton to learn more about the Graduate College Career Navigators program launching this Fall.
