Fellowship season is here! Learn about Graduate College fellowships

The following fellowships require nomination by your academic unit. Please familiarize yourself with the fellowship options available through the Graduate College, then contact your academic unit for internal deadlines and processes.

Please note that online students are not eligible. 

 

The Completion Fellowship (CF) is a merit-based award to support degree completion of outstanding graduate students enrolled in a campus immersion graduate program, in their last semester or last year of their doctoral or MFA program.

Deadline Dates:

  • Tuesday, November 13, 2018 (for Spring 2019)
  • Monday, March 11, 2019 (for Summer 2019 and Fall 2019)*

*Students must be enrolled in Session A or C to be eligible for summer awards

 

The Graduate College Fellowship (GCF) is a need-based award to support students in financial need as determined by information taken from the FAFSA. The GCF is intended to support the recruitment and retention of new and continuing doctoral and master's students enrolled in a campus-immersion graduate program.

  • Monday, November 26, 2018 (for Spring 2019)
  • Monday, February 25, 2019 (for Fall 2019)

 

The Interdisciplinary Enrichment Fellowship (IEF) is a merit-based award to support the recruitment and professional development of new outstanding, underrepresented doctoral and master's students enrolling in a campus immersion degree program.

Every award recipient (masters and doctoral) will now receive a $16,000 stipend along with a tuition waiver for their first year from the Graduate College.

The academic unit will cover health insurance the first year as well as provide second-year funding through a 50 percent TA or RA appointment (at the department standard program rate) or similar funding.

  • Monday, January 21, 2019 (for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020)
  • Monday, February 11, 2019 (for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020)
