Looking to pursue more than 12 credit hours, ASU's graduate programs rank among the best in the nation and offer more than 350 degree options including graduate certificates, master's degrees, PhD and law programs. Explore the many programs ASU has to offer.
Only need to gain a few extra credit hours? Some academic units allow you to take courses without being admitted to a graduate degree program as a nondegree student.
Nondegree status restrictions:
Nondegree seeking students may take as many courses as they would like, however if you wish to use the credits towards an ASU master's or doctoral degree, you will be limited to 12 graduate credit hours taken prior to admission to a degree program.
Being a nondegree student does not guarantee registration. You will need to check with the academic department offering the courses you are interesed in and see whether or not you will be able to register.
Finacial aid is not available to nondegree students.
More than 70 different graduate degrees are available via ASU Online, which has a number of course start dates and specialized services to address the needs of working professionals.
