ASU Library Resources for Graduate Students

The ASU Library has a variety of resources with a wealth of information specifically for graduate students. We urge students to take advantage of the library offerings below. 

Academic Support

• "Library 501: What Grad Students Need to Know about the Library" is an asynchronous module that gives a broad overview of the library.

• The library's tutorial page has tutorials on academic integrity, plagiarism awareness, citation management and other subjects that may be helpful.

• The Graduate Students Guide library guide is newly updated and organized by the different roles that graduate students have here at ASU. 

• The Online Students link on the library home page is also newly updated. 

• The ASU Library One Search allows students to find materials and explore the library catalog.

Research Support

• Researcher Support offers guidance across the research lifecycle in everything from planning to data storage.

• The ASU Electronic Theses and Dissertations allows students to research and build upon the past work of graduate students.

• Citation managers allow graduate students to save and organize their references more efficiently. ASU Library supports three citation managers: Zotero, Mendeley and EndNote.

Additional Resources

• ASU writing centers offer a dynamic, supportive learning environment for graduate students who are currently enrolled in 500, 600 or 700 level courses. .

• Learn about graduate funding opportunities and research support through ASU Knowledge Enterprise.

• Graduate students have free digital subscriptions to the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.

In addition, ASU Librarians can provide instruction (virtually or in-person) to graduate classes, meetings, cohorts, etc. on general library tools and resources, discipline-specific library tools and resources, citation management, copyright and many other subjects.
