Welcome to the Graduate College
Welcome to Arizona State University’s Graduate College. ASU’s history spans more than 130 years and our graduate programs have played an integral role in ASU’s transformation into an international academic and research powerhouse committed to academic excellence, inclusiveness to a broad demographic, and maximum societal impact.
ASU’s Graduate College is dedicated to enriching and advancing the graduate school experience for all students and building a student-centered culture with a commitment to inclusion and innovation. It is easy to see why U.S. News & World Report has selected ASU as the most innovative university in the country five years in a row (see all ASU rankings).
Postdoctoral fellows are an essential part of the ASU academic and research community and the ASU Postdoctoral Affairs Office, created in 2018, supports the personal growth and professional development of each postdoc through programs to enrich your experience at ASU, as well as your academic or professional career.
ASU graduate students and postdoctoral scholars leverage the unique richness of our location in the Southwest to engage the complex issues of our globalized era contributing to the economic, social, cultural and overall well-being of their communities. The extraordinary innovations produced at ASU are fueled by the quality of our programs, the diversity of our ideas, the social embeddedness of our work, and the intellectual assets of our graduate student population that represents over 100 nations and myriad backgrounds.
Our graduate students and postdoctoral scholars become lifelong learners and lifelong teachers who create inter- and trans-disciplinary knowledge on issues of social significance and build career pathways from the moment they enroll in programs and take advantage of our cutting-edge mentoring and professional development programs. ASU offers a plethora of apprenticeship opportunities with world-class faculty, state of the art research and professional training facilities and ongoing enrichment and professional development programming. At ASU, we understand that in today's knowledge-driven world, it is critical that scholars make their work usable and accessible beyond traditional academic disciplines. Our knowledge mobilization framework explores concepts, skills and practices that move research from the page into action, enriching current practice, policy and social discourse in the process.
ASU has a remarkable impact on professional trajectories. 91 percent of ASU's master's students who looked for a job received at least one offer within 90 days of graduating. The Graduate College is here to help drive progress and ensure your success every step of the way.
We are confident that you will thrive at ASU, the New American University. We look forward to welcoming you. Visit Attend Graduate School at ASU for more information.
