ASU Shares and Celebrates the Cultures of Indigenous Peoples for Native American Heritage Month
November is Native American Heritage Month, a national celebration that aims to recognize “the significant contributions the first Americans made to the establishment and growth of the United States.”* The ASU Office of Student and Cultural Engagement and the Alliance of Indigenous Peoples (AIP) is inviting the community to join them in the recognition of Native American heritage by participating in activities and events throughout November.
ASU’s celebration includes events highlighting the cultures, traditions, music, crafts, and dance of our Indigenous students, faculty, staff and community. Beginning with an Opening Gathering on Sunday, Nov. 1 and culminating with the 3rd Annual Resilience Run on Saturday, Nov. 28, there are dozens of opportunities all month long to celebrate Native American heritage at ASU.
