Funding Hot Sheet April 10, 2020: Using AI for aging research, minority dissertation fellowship, and more
Minority Dissertation Fellowship in Education Research
The fellowship program provides support for doctoral dissertation research, to advance education research by outstanding minority graduate students, and to improve the quality and diversity of university faculties. The dissertation study should focus on an education research topic such as high stakes testing; ethnic studies/curriculum; tracking; STEM development; measurement of achievement and opportunity gaps; English language learners; or bullying and restorative justice. Applicants can come from graduate programs and departments in education research, the humanities, or social or behavioral science disciplinary or interdisciplinary fields, such as economics, political science, psychology, or sociology.
Sponsored by the American Education Research Association, this is a $20,000 grant opportunity.
Research Training Groups in the Mathematical Sciences
The RTG program supports efforts to improve research training by involving undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral associates, and faculty members in structured research groups centered on a common research theme. Research groups supported by RTG must include vertically-integrated activities that span the entire spectrum of educational levels from undergraduates through postdoctoral associates.
Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, this is a $2,500,000 grant opportunity.
Career Development Grants
Assistance to women who, through additional higher education, technical training, or participation in professional development institutes, are making career changes, seeking to advance in current careers, or reentering the workforce. Primary consideration is given to women of color and women pursuing credentials in nontraditional fields.
Sponsored by the American Association of University Women, this is a $12,000 grant opportunity.
Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratories for Aging Research
This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications for the Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratories (AITC) for Aging Research program.
