Successful proposals are expected move beyond mere additions to the course catalog and reflect an approach to integrative learning that serves the student body and can be sustained beyond the life of the grant.

Research on Autism Spectrum Disorders
The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to encourage research grant applications to support research designed to elucidate the etiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment, and optimal means of service delivery in relation to Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Sponsored by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), this is a $200,000 grant opportunity.
California lawmakers propose reforms in admissions process, other states could follow
Due to the recent college admissions scandal, a group of California legislators are proposing multiple bills that will reform the admissions process to all California public state schools and any school that accepts Cal Grants. These bills will include a ban on preferential treatment in admissions for the children of donors or alumni and more oversight of “admissions by exception”. Legislators also proposed that California’s state schools conduct research on the effectiveness of the SAT and ACT. Other states are expected to propose similar bills in the near future.
