Cyberlearning and Future Learning Technologies

The purpose of this program is to fund exploratory and synergistic research in learning technologies to prepare learners to excel in work at the human-technology frontier. This program responds to the pressing societal need to educate and re-educate learners of all ages (students, teachers and workers) in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) content. This program funds learning technology research in STEM and other foundational areas that enable STEM learning.

Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering, this is a $750,000 grant opportunity. 

Ocean Health Grant

11th Hour Racing seeks to advance innovative projects that improve the health of our oceans and address the dynamic environmental challenges facing the sailing and marine communities. Examples of potential projects include but not limited to, reducing ocean pollution, climate change and water quality issues.

Can economics fix its gender-imbalance problem? It'll take more than research, women say 

Many women are beginning to speak out about the gender bias in economic fields within higher education. The article gives ideas on how to approach the issue and how to encourage female undergraduate students to continue their education in economics. Many believe a mentorship program where female economics students can connect to female faculty members could lead to a solution.
