GFSD seeks diverse applicants for fellowship

Graduate Fellowships for STEM Diversity (GFSD) is seeking graduate students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to apply for its fellowship opportunity.

GFSD’s goal is to increase the number of American citizens with graduate degrees in STEM fields. GFSD prides itself on having the most diverse applicant pool of any national STEM fellowship program.

The GFSD program is open to all American citizens; undergraduate seniors as well as graduate students are welcome to apply. The fellowship can last from three to six years and provides an annual $20,000 expense allowance, in addition to covering full tuition and fees.

The fellowship also allows a research or teaching assistantship. Fellows are provided one or two sponsor-supported summer internships as well as a mentor from the sponsoring agency.
