Student questions answered at spring 2021 Graduate Student Town Hall
On Thursday, February 4, the Graduate College hosted its second Graduate Student Town Hall to address questions concerning a variety of topics submitted by students. Questions were answered by panelists Elizabeth Wentz, vice provost and dean of the Graduate College, Cassandra Aska, deputy vice president and dean of students, and Tamara Underiner and Enrique Vivoni, associate deans of the Graduate College.
Topics addressed by the panelists included outlook for campus operation as the pandemic continues, updates regarding equity, inclusion and President Michael Crow’s commitment to Black students, faculty and staff, and general issues facing domestic and international students both academically and personally. “It was a great opportunity for us to really learn what was going on in the lives of the graduate students,” said Dean Wentz of the decision to host the second town hall event of the 2020-2021 academic year. “This is an important communication tool especially in this difficult time [...]. These big challenges are not going to disappear anytime soon, but we are really committed to caring for our graduate students.”
