Tips for your digital portfolio: Create your digital narrative with intention and purpose
Research shows that digital portfolios not only help students track their academic progress through their graduate programs, but also positions them more favorably for post-graduate success. To make it easier for you to create and curate your own portfolio, the Graduate College has developed an easy-to-use Professional Development Portfolio template to help track your learning and provide a well-rounded narrative of your academic journey. You’ll find the template on your MyASU page.
After creating your portfolio from the template, you can customize it to uniquely represent you and the story you want to tell.
1. Document and demonstrate your learning by providing evidence and telling your audience why that evidence is relevant.
2. Tell your audience about the type of work you want to do in the future. Explain why and how your time at ASU qualifies you as an outstanding contributor to this field.
We encourage you to take control of your digital story and populate your ASU supported digital portfolio during your graduate studies.
