School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning

Q: Where did you earn your doctorate?

University of Utah

Q: What does your research focus on?

I am a human-environmental geographer focused on the social dimensions of hazards and disasters. I am interested in topics such as distributional environmental justice, social vulnerability to hazards and disasters, and health disparities.

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I love sports, my dogs, my wife and backyard grilling.

Q: What are your career goals? 

To become an internationally recognized and tenured professor at an R1 institution.
