Making space for balance in times of challenge

The bold word I chose for this month is balance. Balance is the intentional practice of making space for restoration, connection, and fun alongside effort and ambition. That idea can feel bold and even counterintuitive. When you are in school or working hard, stepping back to do things that make us feel good or allow us to engage in play can feel somehow wrong, as if it is time taken away from progress. Yet a growing body of research suggests the opposite.
