Events Commemorating ASU’s Women’s HERstory Month

Nationally, March has been heralded as Women’s History Month since 1987 thanks to the pioneering efforts of the National Women’s History Project - now called the National Women’s History Alliance. At ASU, the community has created Women's HERstory Month, commemorating women’s history with in-person and virtual events ranging from watch parties to learning about womanism.

ASU Shares and Celebrates the Cultures of Indigenous Peoples for Native American Heritage Month

November is Native American Heritage Month, a national celebration that aims to recognize “the significant contributions the first Americans made to the establishment and growth of the United States.”* The ASU Office of Student and Cultural Engagement and the Alliance of Indigenous Peoples (AIP) is inviting the community to join them in the recognition of Native American heritage by participating in activities and events throughout November.

2020 ASU Salute to Service events honor veterans, service members and first responders during November

For nearly a decade during November, ASU has honored those who have served and contributed to our nation’s defense. This tradition was aligned with Veteran’s Day on November 11 and developed under the banner, ASU Salute to Service. This November is no exception. However, ASU is broadening their focus to also include those serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes teachers, first responders, nurses, doctors, firefighters, public servants, workers in nonprofit organizations and other essential workers.
